bass tracks

I have over twenty-five years of experience in studio performance, and have been recording tracks in my home studio for over five years now. My equipment is always kept in excellent working condition, and I have a wide variety of instruments to choose from, including upright, acoustic bass guitar and most of the “standard” electric basses heard on popular recordings since the 1950s  – I really enjoy matching the perfect bass sound to the vibe and feel a songwriter or producer is going for.

IMG_4555I personally don’t believe there is any substitute for a group of musicians working together in a well-equipped, professional studio. Having said that, recording music is still not easy on the checkbook, and it is possible to save a great deal of money by having us record our tracks at home and deliver them individually. I am dedicated to making this a simple process for you – and to making it sound great!

I currently use Pro Tools to capture the performances and can export tracks in whichever file format you specify (usually aif, mp3 or wav). I typically run my basses through a preamp to warm up the tone a little and, unless otherwise requested, deliver the tracks “dry” of effects and without any additional EQ. Tracks can be easily delivered through Drop Box or any other file transfer service you prefer.

Please contact me if you have any questions. I love talking about this!
